2007-10-01- just use the strip binary to avoid confusing libtool (quotes)Bernhard Reutner-Fischer
- use $(STRIPCMD) in packages to avoid clashes with $(STRIP)
2007-09-17- cleanup and fixes (Cristian Ionescu-Idbohrn)Bernhard Reutner-Fischer
2007-08-21- sed -i -e "/;$/s/;$//g" $(egrep ";$" package/* package/*/*.mk toolchain/* ↵Bernhard Reutner-Fischer

2007-08-05- download disappeared, use debian insteadBernhard Reutner-Fischer
2007-07-11Use <package>_VERSION in all <package>.mk instead of <package>_VERUlf Samuelsson
2007-07-07- using $(STAGING_DIR)/include is inherently wrong. $(STAGING_DIR)/usr/includeBernhard Reutner-Fischer
is the proper path for includes (check your host)
2007-07-06Bump versions."Steven J. Hill"
2007-07-06Remove usage of TARGET_LDFLAGS all together. Both TARGET_CFLAGS and ↵"Steven J. Hill"
TARGET_LDFLAGS are passed with the compilers and linker respectively so that we can pass CFLAGS and LDFLAGS on a per-package basis which was not possible previously and a number of packages failed to build. TARGET_CFLAGS usage in package makefiles will be removed next.
2007-06-27- add endian handling, mmap, memcmp checks to TARGET_CONFIGURE_ARGSBernhard Reutner-Fischer
- use TARGET_CONFIGURE_ARGS where appropriate.
2007-06-09- bump versionBernhard Reutner-Fischer
2007-04-13Need the target LDFLAGS for this to link using external toolchain."Steven J. Hill"
2007-03-13fixup package LDFLAGS handlingEric Andersen
2007-03-07- some more CONFIG_UPDATEs by Haavard SkinnemoenBernhard Reutner-Fischer
2007-01-16Fix failed build due to addition of '--libdir=/lib' which changed the ↵"Steven J. Hill"
location of where libmagic.a and libmagic.la were located.
2007-01-14fixup a whole steaming pile of insanity. When packages are configured,Eric Andersen
they should be configured with --prefix=/usr and we then need to use make DESTDIR=$(STAGING_DIR) install to get things installed into the staging directory. The current situation for many packages, which use --prefix=$(STAGING_DIR) results in the staging_dir paths getting compiled into the binary itself. This also adds in a pile of libtool fixups. Between broken pkgconfig, broken libtool handling, and broken --prefix settings, its a wonder things have worked as well as they have up till now. -Erik
2006-12-15- bump version, mv the libmagic.a to the staging dir and peruse one sourcedirBernhard Reutner-Fischer
for both host and target build. Thanks to Ulrich Hecht.
2006-10-01- use $(ZCAT) as configured by the user instead of hardcoded 'zcat' that may ↵Bernhard Reutner-Fischer
not exist; Closes #971 Silly, unchecked sed -i -e "/[^b]zcat/s/zcat/\$\(ZCAT\)/g" $(svngrep "[^b]zcat" * -rl | grep -v Config.in)

2005-11-24remove extra space after touchMike Frysinger
2005-09-08only build host-file if we need itMike Frysinger
2005-08-30Build 'file' for the host as well as the target. If the host system has a ↵"Steven J. Hill"
version older than that being built for buildroot, the target build will fail. So, we build 'file' for the host and add actually add '$(TOOL_BUILD_DIR)/bin' to the TARGET_PATH so that it takes precedence over the host system version.
2005-08-18file-4.15 is out and it supports cross-compiling :DMike Frysinger
2005-07-13file-4.12 is no longer availableEric Andersen
2005-02-10There is no need to have a separate 'Makefile.in' file in theEric Andersen
general case, therefore, combine the toplevel Makefile options such as setting TARGETS into the per-package *.mk file
